Animal Ordering System
Please note, starting from Monday 28th June 2021, all order for CCMR animals will be handled via the new Computerised Animal Research Ethics System (CARES).
To gain access to the system, for a PI and their entire team to access CARES for the first time, please complete the CARES Modification Form – ‘Create New PI Team’.
For any new additional users, please complete the form – ‘Add Team Member’.
If you are experiencing any difficulties with the CARES system, please do not hesitate to send any queries to cares.help@hku.hk for our team to assist you.
In the email, you can facilitate our troubleshooting by providing some important information, such as:
1. Type of problem(s) you are encountering (e.g. cannot login, cannot access the animal order section, cannot see the CULATR number or animal strain from the selected list, etc.)
2. Your HKUPortal ID (important if you are having login / access problem)
3. Have you previously submitted the “CARES Modification form”?
4. Screenshot of the error message or the page you are experiencing the problem
5. Your contact phone number (for us to give you quick verbal instructions on how to resolve your problems)
